{"id":41,"date":"2009-02-01T22:36:37","date_gmt":"2009-02-02T05:36:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rubschlager.com\/matt\/?p=41"},"modified":"2009-02-01T22:36:37","modified_gmt":"2009-02-02T05:36:37","slug":"im-registered","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rubschlager.com\/matt\/im-registered\/","title":{"rendered":"I&#8217;m Registered!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The deed has been done, and there&#8217;s no turning back.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve registered for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagomarathon.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chicago Marathon<\/a>.\u00a0 I&#8217;m hoping to complete the race in about four hours, but not having run that distance before it&#8217;s hard to tell if I&#8217;ll be able to hold to that number or not.<\/p>\n<p>I recall that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.runnersworld.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Runner&#8217;s Worl<\/a>d has run several stories that reference a mathematic formula that one plugs in their one mile time and some other factors and receives a time estimate that holds true for many distances.\u00a0 I&#8217;m tempted to go out there to see what it has to say for me, but I think I&#8217;m going to hold off until after I run in a one-half marathon.<\/p>\n<p>I have a couple of more months before I need to start devoting training time specifically for the marathon.\u00a0 For now I&#8217;m going to keep plugging along in &#8220;maintenance mode&#8221; until the weather turns.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The deed has been done, and there&#8217;s no turning back.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve registered for the Chicago Marathon.\u00a0 I&#8217;m hoping to complete the race in about four hours, but not having run that distance before it&#8217;s hard to tell if I&#8217;ll be able to hold to that number or not.
