Abodes have changed again. \u00a0I’ve taken a new position with the same organization, but it’s necessitated a move up to Washington State into the Seattle area. \u00a0We’ve only been here a short while now, but differences are easily apparent.<\/p>\n
Driving is one of the first things that I noticed immediately. \u00a0Those reading this who are familiar with the area probably think I’m going to go on about traffic jams and how long it takes to get anywhere. \u00a0Not quite. \u00a0I’m going to go on about the driver aggressiveness. \u00a0In Oregon the drivers were so laid back. \u00a0It was rare that you’d find more than one or two other drivers actually traveling at the speed limit, let alone a smidgen above. \u00a0Here it’s quite the opposite. \u00a0I had to bring my Chicago game and let me tell you that it’s been refreshing.<\/p>\n
So far it’s been pretty good and while I’m still a bit homesick for my house in Oregon, I’m starting to think of this as home. \u00a0I’m sure once we’re settled in something a little more permanent it’ll really feel like home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
