{"id":7,"date":"2008-11-23T22:37:15","date_gmt":"2008-11-24T05:37:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rubschlager.com\/matt\/?page_id=7"},"modified":"2008-11-23T22:37:15","modified_gmt":"2008-11-24T05:37:15","slug":"loved-one","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/rubschlager.com\/matt\/loved-one\/","title":{"rendered":"Loved One"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I love my wife dearly, but there&#8217;s just this one thing I can&#8217;t stand about her.\u00a0 It&#8217;s her incessant need for&#8230;\u00a0 You don&#8217;t think I&#8217;m stupid do you?\u00a0 I&#8217;d be killed, murdered, whatever fit into her wild imagination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mh wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How We Met<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mb wp-block-paragraph\">It was a cold and stormy night.\u00a0 Suddenly there was a knock at the door.\u00a0 I rushed to see who it could be at this ungodly hour.\u00a0 Alas, it was sweet Hector.\u00a0 Sweet, sweet Hector, arrived with my toast&#8230; er&#8230; let me start this again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mh wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How We Met&#8230;For Real This Time<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mb wp-block-paragraph\">Once upon a time in a galaxy not so far away there was a book store chain named Crown Books.\u00a0 Like nearly all bookstore chains it is no more thanks to the Internet and Amazon.  We met at work, started dating after I began managing a different store, and ultimately got married after a fateful March Of Dimes walk in Chicago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mh wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>When Did You Get Married Citizen Rubschlager?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mb wp-block-paragraph\">Angie and I were married on a glorious day in May.\u00a0 May 22, 1999 to be precise.\u00a0 We wanted a few wonderful months together before the world ended on December 31, 1999.\u00a0The world didn&#8217;t end or turn into some apocalyptic wasteland.  I attribute that to our Y2K compliant marriage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mh wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tell Us About This <em>Marriage Day<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mb wp-block-paragraph\">It was a cold and stormy night&#8230;\u00a0 er&#8230; sorry, again.\u00a0 We joined our souls at Prince of Peace Lutheran church in Palatine.\u00a0 Shortly there after we celebrated our union at Chateau Rand in DesPlains.\u00a0 Stax-O-Wax was the presiding music masters.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note:  Reading and revising this 20+ years on, the only thing left from the above is the church.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mh wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love my wife dearly, but there&#8217;s just this one thing I can&#8217;t stand about her.\u00a0 It&#8217;s her incessant need for&#8230;\u00a0 You don&#8217;t think I&#8217;m stupid do you?\u00a0 I&#8217;d be killed, murdered, whatever fit into her wild imagination.
