It’s official. I’ve gone and registered for the 2012 Chicago Marathon. Registering for that triggers a search for a Spring/Summer half-marathon to work in for training. And of course since I’ll be all trained up in October, why not do another half-marathon afterwards?
I wonder why I do this to myself.
My goal is to meet/beat my 2010 Portland Marathon time. I’m thinking I have a good shot at that simply due to the lack of a handful of hills. Also, a goal is to actually participate in the post-run shenanigans, rather than limping off to the car. So dear reader, I hope that suspense carries you through to October because Lord knows it’s pretty unlikely I’ll be posting again before then given my track record.
