{"id":151,"date":"2011-06-23T10:38:05","date_gmt":"2011-06-23T17:38:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rubschlager.com\/angie\/?p=151"},"modified":"2011-06-23T10:38:05","modified_gmt":"2011-06-23T17:38:05","slug":"angie-and-matts-big-adventure-day-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rubschlager.com\/angie\/2011\/06\/23\/angie-and-matts-big-adventure-day-10\/","title":{"rendered":"Angie and Matt&#8217;s Big Adventure &#8211; Day 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rubschlager.com\/angie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2011\/06\/Day-10-Map.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-152 size-medium\" title=\"Day 10 Map\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rubschlager.com\/angie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2011\/06\/Day-10-Map-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>10 days.\u00a0 We&#8217;ve been riding everyday for 10 days and we are kind of done.\u00a0 The great thing about Astoria is that it is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a cool town<\/li>\n<li>has stuff to do and a Brewery<\/li>\n<li>and is close enough to home to make an earlyish end to the trip viable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So that is what we decided.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s go home, get some stuff done around the house and relax a little.\u00a0 But first, we wanted to check out the Oregon Film museum, which is purported to have a Goonies exhibit.\u00a0 And who doesn&#8217;t like the Goonies!\u00a0\u00a0 So off we went to find the museum.\u00a0 Hot travel tip!\u00a0 Just skip this if you are in Astoria, what a giant waste of money and time.\u00a0 It cost $4 a person to get into what amounts to a 30&#215;30 room (The museum is housed in what used to be an old jail).\u00a0 The Goonies exhibit consisted of a lot of cardboard standing cut outs and a few real and recreated props from the movie.\u00a0 And part of the actual movie set where one scene was filmed.\u00a0 The rest of the place was being reconstructed to create movie sets where people can apparently come in and shoot scenes from movies and then edit them, etc.\u00a0 It was a serious disappointment.\u00a0 Oregon is the backdrop for a lot a movies, but actual interpretive information was a bit scarce and the place was seriously cramped.\u00a0 So we spent a total of about 10 minutes and then hit road.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_153\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-153\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rubschlager.com\/angie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2011\/06\/IMG_0002.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-153 size-medium\" title=\"IMG_0002\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rubschlager.com\/angie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2011\/06\/IMG_0002-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-153\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Really!
