{"id":131,"date":"2011-06-23T10:16:23","date_gmt":"2011-06-23T17:16:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rubschlager.com\/angie\/?p=131"},"modified":"2011-06-23T10:16:23","modified_gmt":"2011-06-23T17:16:23","slug":"angie-and-matts-big-adventure-day-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rubschlager.com\/angie\/2011\/06\/23\/angie-and-matts-big-adventure-day-9\/","title":{"rendered":"Angie and Matt&#8217;s Big Adventure &#8211; Day 9"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rubschlager.com\/angie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2011\/06\/Day-9-Map.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-132 size-medium\" title=\"Day 9 Map\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rubschlager.com\/angie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2011\/06\/Day-9-Map-89x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"89\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>In hindsight, Matt and I should have expected that the ride up 101 on a Sunday would be something of slog.\u00a0 It is the Oregon Coast and it was the end of the weekend, so RV dodging was the theme of the ride between Coos Bay and Astoria.\u00a0 The Oregon Coast continues to be a beautiful thing and I never really tire of seeing it.\u00a0 Since we were riding quite a few miles Matt and I made a promise to take a break at least each hour.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rubschlager.com\/angie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2011\/06\/IMG_0003.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-133 size-medium\" title=\"IMG_0003\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rubschlager.com\/angie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2011\/06\/IMG_0003-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We stopped in Lincoln City for lunch at this cute little open air cafe\/gift shop, where I picked up a tiger cowry shell.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rubschlager.com\/angie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2011\/06\/IMG_0004.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-138 size-medium\" title=\"IMG_0004\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rubschlager.com\/angie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2011\/06\/IMG_0004-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since it was father&#8217;s day we took the opportunity to call our Dads.\u00a0 And then back on the road, to catch up with and pass once more all the RV&#8217;s we passed to get there.\u00a0 Sigh.\u00a0 And then Matt had a fabulous idea&#8230;\u00a0 The Tillamook Creamery.
